Together We Rise's Mission

At Together We Rise Sports, our mission is to redefine youth sports programming in Massachusetts by offering families the best, most affordable, and well-rounded experience for their young athletes. After six years as an assistant athletic director, teacher, and coach in a middle school, I witnessed the youth sports model spiraling out of control—families spending excessive amounts, kids specializing too early, and the focus shifting from growth to validation. This change in youth sports left little room for fun, friendship, or life lessons. TWR Sports believes youth sports should be an educational journey where kids not only improve their game, but also develop essential skills, all while enjoying the freedom to play sports and simply be kids on the court or field. TWR Sports is committed to creating programs that prioritize skill development along with teaching life lessons by using varsity high school athletes and coaches as our mentors.  Our goal is to make sports about the kids again, ensuring every athlete leaves each game or session excited to return, having grown both as a player and as a person—because together, we rise!

Together We Rise sports is named and created in honor of Chris Ryan’s big brother Tyler William Ryan (TWR). Tyler was a youth athlete in Concord and took his life when he was 18. He loved all sports, but more than that he loved the community he played with. We are looking forward to carrying on Tyler’s legacy through TWR sports.

About Me:

My name is Chris Ryan and I have extensive experience coaching youth and high school athletes. Before creating TWR Sports, I spent six years at The Fenn School as an Assistant Athletic Director, coach, and teacher of science and social studies. During my tenure at Fenn, I also served as the varsity basketball  and football coach leading many future high school and college athletes. I am currently an assistant coach for both the Concord-Carlisle High School varsity football and varsity girls basketball teams. Away from CCHS I help organize and coach Middlesex Magic's youth program "Mini Magic" for ages 4-9.  Along with my coaching I am a certified personal trainer and have helped high school athletes achieve their athletic goals for the past 4 years. I try to impact any endeavor with my  positive energy and ability to motivate athletes to achieve their goals.
